Here is a short movie on Andy Goldsworthy. He is both a photographer and a sculptist. His work is very interesting to me due to the use of nature and the laws of it.

Helen Levitt
Helen Levitt also was an American photographer. A lot of work consisted of taking pictures on the street in New York City mainly focusing on children. There is something about these photos of children. They help give the photo a mystical story of some sort - as if we are now a part of the game they are playing out on the streets.
Ansel Adams
A little introduction to Ansel Adams - He was an American photographer and environmentalist that was known for his black and white photography. A lot of his work seems to focus on landscapes especially at Yosemite National Park in California. He was very concerned with the development of society and the depletion of nature stating, "Solitude, so vital to the individual man, is almost nowhere."

Final images from Place Project
This project involved taking pictures of a place and trying to capture the essence of it. For years, the Swap Shop down in Fort Lauderdale has been a place I have ventured. They sell everything there from pipes and watches to shirts and yard tools. Truly is a crazy environment and seemed the perfect place for me to capture.

So for this project, we were free to focus on anything that we wanted with no stipulations. I decided to try out some abstract photography. Shadow, light, and reflection have always fascinated me. After thinking of different ideas to focus on, I feel that these images found me as I looked around my apartment. Hope you enjoy!

Skateboard Photography
So I know these are the typical "artistic" photos, but I wanted to include some of my skateboard photography in this blog as well. It's truly fun taking these photos. You are in the moment and are compelled to get the perfect shot. Not to mention, the skateboarding community is great. I've met some really awesome skaters. Check out our other blog.

"Place" Project
So I just finished edited my new photos for our "place" project. I focused on the Swap Shop as my content and think I took some interesting photos. Now that I have my photos printed (for the first time on nice printers), I am ready for critique on Thursday. The photos will be posted soon!
