James Casebere has a very interesting take on photographing buildings and landscapes. He actually builds small models of buildings and landscapes he is planning to photograph. Then he lights them and adds water to some of them. I find his work interesting because they seem real at first glance but then, they start to have this somewhat unreal feeling to them. Compositionally, I feel his pictures are very strong - often he uses reflections in water to help balance the composition.
